In some cases, people obtain plastic from sustainable materials as well. Given this backdrop, it is easy to realise that there are several different varieties of plastics currently in use across the globe. Some of the most common varieties of plastic include:

 

  • Polyester: This comes into use in fibres and textiles
  • Polyethylene (PE): People use this extensively in plastic bottles, supermarket bags etc.
  • High Density Polyethylene (HDPE): This variety of plastic features in many milk jugs, detergent bottles and moulded plastic cases
  • Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE): Plastic fabricators in Sydney and other places use this for making floor tiles, sidings, shower curtains and outdoor furniture
